Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY): This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.
  • Must be able travel on short notice (i.e., less than 24 hours' notice).
  • Top Secret Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information: This position is a TOP SECRET WITH SCI position. A Single Scope Background Investigation is required for TS/SCI access and must be completed prior to hiring and periodically thereafter.
  • The employee must meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position. This is an Acquisition Position and requires a Professional certification in Acquisition Career Field C (Contracting).
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).
  • Term Employment: This is a Term position scheduled to last six (6) years. A term position may be extended depending upon the needs of management.
  • This is a Drug testing designated position and the incumbent is required to complete a drug test prior to appointment and periodically thereafter DA Form 5019.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade or band is required. It is defined as one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DE-02 pay band (GS-11 level) in the Federal Service which includes experience in one or more of the following areas: 1) Development of acquisition documentation to include acquisition requirements packages; 2) Evaluating and reporting of financial reports and/or acquisition programs; 3) Working with contracting organizations in support of the competition and award of contracts; 4) Development of innovative contracting approaches; and5) Working as a Contracting Officer's Representative and/or knowledge of post-award contract requirements and responsibilities

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
