This position is located in Management Directorate, Office Of Security & Integrity, Threat Management Division Threat Operations Branch, Threat Integration Section. As a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST (THREAT INTEGRATION SECTION CHIEF), you will lead a team of security specialists advising management on threats and risks to agency personnel, facilities, and assets.

Duties

Serve as Threat Integration Section Chief and advise leadership on USCIS’s ability to anticipate, identify, evaluate, and develop and implement plans to address threats and risks to USCIS personnel, facilities, and assets. With the Threat Operations Branch Chief, coordinate and provide direction for managing and implementing the threat management program for the agency. Ensure the security program is implemented based on and complies with applicable policies and procedures according to mission, customer, stakeholder, USCIS, and DHS requirements. Oversee and coordinate the Operations Security, Insider Threat, Foreign Access Management, and Threat Data Programs for the agency. Develop and implement threat management security policies in accordance with DHS, USCIS, and Office of Security and Integrity (OSI) policies and procedures, and ensure consistent application across USCIS. Work independently and in groups to streamline and improve existing and develop new security guidance, policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring consistent implementation across USCIS with minimal impact on agency operations. Manage a staff of security specialists (GS-12/13), assign tasks and projects and ensure work is distributed evenly and completed thoroughly, efficiently, cost effectively, and timely.

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 02/07/2024. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 02/07/2024. GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to perform successfully the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Providing threat management guidance and support to leadership; Developing collaborative relationships with multiple internal and external units on a variety of security issues; Analyzing and resolving complex security problems; Coordinating a security program for a large organization; Developing new security guidance, policies, procedures, or processes.
