This position is located in the Personnel Security (PS) Directorate's Front Office and reports to the PS Assistant Director (AD), Director of Staff (DoS), Deputy DoS, or PS Operations, Strategic Planning or Integration Officer. The incumbent is primarily responsible for providing broad administrative and enabling support services to the PS Front Office senior staff, and administrative and enabling functions advisory services to the Background Investigations.
Duties
As a ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Coordinating with PS and DCSA SMEs and leads on event planning, internal and external training needs, security operations, records management, internal and external taskers, budgets and spend plans, contracting and acquisitions, logistics, communications and related functional areas.
- Executing a variety of complex, Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency-wide planning, analysis and management actions and initiatives.
- Initiating, directing, prioritizing, expediting and integrating tasks and requirements into effective and efficient programs and/or activities within the support elements and special staff.
- Managing organizational use of the correspondence and task management (CATMS) system.
- Managing critical action officer functional responsibilities including tracking, special projects, VIP visits as well as long and short-range planning initiatives.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS/GG-12) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
Coordinating with PS and DCSA SMEs and leads on event planning, internal and external training needs, security operations, records management, internal and external taskers, budgets and spend plans, contracting and acquisitions, logistics, communications and related functional areas.
Initiating, directing, prioritizing, expediting and integrating tasks and requirements into effective and efficient programs.
Studying, evaluating and overseeing the acquisition, issuance, utilization, maintenance and/or accounting of space, telephones, office equipment, furniture, vehicles, credit cards, supplies and forms.
Preparing comprehensive communications, presentations, and staff actions using a variety of MS Office programs, SharePoint, products and online resources.
Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:
1. Administration and Management: Knowledge of planning, coordination, and execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production.
2. Computer Literacy: Demonstrates skill in using job-relevant information systems and/or software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the Internet.

4. Management Support: Provide support and input for the coordination of administrative services (e.g., scheduling, templates, staffing, training) performed within the facilities or offices.

Oral and Written Communication: Demonstrates the ability to clearly and effectively articulate and present facts, ideas, issues and analyses to a wide range of audiences; makes clear and convincing oral presentations; prepares succinct and well-organized papers, briefings and documentation to promote decisions.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
