You will serve as a Management Analyst in the office of the Production Facilities and Equipment Managment Assistant Division Head (Code 980D) Production Engineering Manager Division (Code 980), Production Facilities and Equipment Manager (Code 900F), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

You will serve as the Divisions administrative coordinator for office equipment, audiovisual equipment, and Shipyard notices and instructions. You will assist the Branch Head with responses to internal and external audits. You will apply analytical and evaluative methods and techniques. You will coordinate the budget requirements for Automated Information Systems (AIS).

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of AIS as well as Shipyard and Division information systems management process. Preparing project papers, reports, graphs and charts to discuss findings and recommendations to managers. Demonstrating knowledge of support and service processes which provide technical and management information in support of the Division mission. Assisting in the development of new or modified work methods, records and files, procedures from administering program services and automating work processes for administrative support functions and program operations. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
