About the Position: The Army Medical Logistics Command (AMLC), a major subordinate command of the Army Materiel Command (AMC), focuses on enabling strategic power projection readiness, total force materiel, and supply chain optimization in support of multi-domain operations.

Duties

Research and apply local policies to maintain property book regulations. Perform reviews and conduct inventories of property and equipment and prepare requests for procurement. Verify inventories match Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) databases and report discrepancies. Advise management on deficient trends and advise new methods and practices.

Requirements

  • Position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes work that involves:1) Researching local policies and procedures to maintain property book; 2) Conducting annual inventories of all property and equipment; 3) Researching deficient trends and recommends new methods and practices AND 4) Preparing requests for procurement of supplies, equipment, maintenance and repairs. OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management, Supply, Operations or Logistics. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Planning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
