You will serve as a Engineering Technician in the Modernization Coordination Branch (Code 352), Planning Divison (Code 350), Waterfront Operations Department (Code 300) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.

Duties

You will provide continuous status tracking of all AIT install alterations for weekly reporting to the Maintenance Team during the execution phase. You will attend all execution- related availability meetings for assigned ships. You will coordinate with various departments to ensure NSA alteration execution oversight requirements are met You will resolve a large number of shipboard problems as well as their root cause.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Eperience applying engineering theories, principles, practices and techniques and related naval and modernization terminology and acronyms as applicable in support of C4I, CS and Hull, Mechanical, Electrical equipment and alterations. Experience completing projects with new, diverse, and complex problems related to design, installation, operation, maintenance, repair, support, and performance evaluations. Experience demonstrating skills in integrating design, installation, operation, maintence, and repair support on a regular basis. Experience in applying modernization processes and procedures relating to mechanical, electrical, and electronics in order to accomplish comprehensive equipment overhauls.
