This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position in the NH-04 broadband with an advertised pay range from the lowest equivalent GS grade 14 Step 1 to the highest equivalent GS 15 grade step 10 in the broadband.
Duties
Serves as lead on special projects/tasks in support of the PM.
Incumbent will be tasked with projects such as program level acquisition analysis and realignment with ever fluid DA and OSD directives and revised tactical and strategic objectives.
Organize operations by establishing policies, planning, prioritizing the sue of equipment to accomplish the mission.
Prepares briefings to the PMs, General Officers/SES personnel, DA, Joint Staff, and OSD as necessary in order to successfully achieve above-described responsibilities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One-year probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Advanced in the Acquisition Career Field (Business Financial Management and Cost Estimating) within 48 months of entrance on duty.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as performing ALL of the following duties: 1) serves as a project leader to direct work for projects within the organization; 2) monitors the program management efforts to provide continuity and support community relationships; provides situational awareness briefings, reporting to senior leaders on the progress of the programs/projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-03 or GS-13 equivalent.
