About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at HQDA G-2 Management Services Directorate in Arlington, VA.
Duties
Serve as an Analyst and Functional Human Resources Advisor in the Management Services Directorate, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-2.
Evaluate a variety of civilian staffing programs in the Army DCIPS which may include recruitment and placement; staffing; position management and classification; performance management; incentive awards; and career program management.
Conduct technical reviews of reorganization proposals and other individual position actions for application of sound position management, executing actions as directed.
Provide staff level technical advice and assistance to all levels of management officials on complex human resources management issues or problems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 10% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a T5 (or equivalent) investigation.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) analyzing data sets specific to personnel or positions; 2) providing human resources policy guidance to management officials; AND 3) advising on recruitment strategies with management officials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).
