You will serve as a LEAD ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Electronics Warfare Branch Code 292, Combat Systems (Weapons) Division Code 290, Engineering Department Code 200, of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.
Duties
You will communicate to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion.
You will identify, distribute and balance workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization.
You will train or arrange for the training of team members in methods and techniques of team building and working in teams to accomplish tasks or projects.
You will serve as coach, facilitator and/or negotiator in coordinating team initiatives and in consensus building activities among team members.
You will prepare reports and maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required, and coordinate the preparation, presentation and communication of work-related information to the supervisor.
You will research, learn and apply a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze and improve team effectiveness, efficiency and work products.
You will perform special engineering analyses and studies in support of Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA) for the purpose of developing or evaluating improvements in design, maintenance procedures, material, etc.
You will function as the Electronic Warfare Lead and oversee the work of MARMC Subject matter experts in the troubleshooting and repair equipment including but not limited to Ships Combat Systems.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience solving unique and difficult problems affecting the overall system associated with engineering disciplines (e.g. mechanical, electrical, electronic, and structural).
Experience utilizing engineering and electronics terminology as applied to marine machinery electricity, electronics, and weapons.
Experience assigning work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of assignment difficulty and requirements, and employee capabilities.
Experience recognizing and reporting errors, inconsistencies or other deficiencies in technical schematics, drawings.
Experience understanding and interpreting plans, schematics, drawings and specifications and making field adjustments/modifications as required.
Experience leading a team of government employees, military members and contractors in the performance of assigned tasks and assignments.
Experience coordinating the work with others as necessary and interpreting policy and regulatory requirements in terms of established objectives.
