You will serve as a EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT (OFFICE AUTOMATION) in the Officer in Charge of Construction Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard (OICC PHNSY) of OICC PEARL HARBOR NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

You will receive and screen incoming telephone calls and visitors with professionalism, tact, and diplomacy. You will research, write and edit routine Command correspondence. You will monitor and spot check incoming miscellaneous materials, including publications, directives, messages and correspondence for applicability to financial management functions and proper routing, correct assignment of due date and tickler file. You will serve as the Executive Office POC for resolving administrative issues within the command.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Performing administrative functions in filtering telephone calls, mail requests to specific functional areas, time/attendance, scheduling and coordination of travel reservations and support, event planning, scheduling meetings, technical writing, and the collection, analysis and presentation of information; 2) Utilizing office automation systems (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or equivalent automated systems) to enter, correct and retrieve information, compile concise reports, produce charts and graphs, or monitor a project or program; 3) Maintaining database records for organizational programs, to be used in the evaluation of effectiveness and efficiency of organization operations; 4 ) Preparing and issuing travel orders and detailed travel itineraries. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree
OR
Have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
OR
Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
