You will serve as a TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER (TECHNICIAN) in the AEGIS ENTERPRISE ASSESSMENT DIVISION, PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.

Duties

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team to develop secure telecommunications solutions to meet customer needs. You will gather support requirements for test and evaluation missions and coordinate test execution. You will manage telecommunications projects and coordinate research and development efforts for the implementation of future technologies. You will provide technical guidance on the best employment of satellite communications solutions in support of test events. You will provide technical and program management assistance for the design, installation, operation, maintenance, modernization, and cybersecurity (CS) compliance of all deployed network, Radio Frequency (RF), and Satellite Communication systems. You will formulate goals and methods of evaluation, adjust long range plans and develop budget requirements. You will coordinate Navy Radiation Hazard (RADHAZ) and Electromagnetic Interference/Compatibility (EMI/EMC) topside studies to ensure branch SATCOM systems are authorized to be installed on Navy assets. You will ensure safe deployment and operation of antenna systems on ship and on shore.

  • You will support Department of Navy policies, for work role System Administrator proficiency level Intermediate within 9 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing engineering projects to develop, modernize, test, and evaluate network and satellite communication systems and ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements.
