You will serve as a PROTOCOL OFFICER in the HQ Building of CNATRA.
GS-11: $69,463 - $90,298

Duties
You will provide protocol guidance and services to the command suite, staff, and subordinate commands.
You will formulate, develop, coordinate, and execute daily and long-range planning functions of the Front Office including Distinguished Visitor (DV) programs and ceremonies.
You will develop plans for official visits, ceremonies, and conferences.
You will independently conceptualize, plan, coordinate, and execute all protocol aspects of visits to leadership.
You will coordinate all major conferences to prevent scheduling conflicts.
You will plan and coordinate the conduct of official social functions, formulate guest lists, compose appropriate invitations, supervise the distribution of invitations and acceptance of replies, and finalize arrangements.
You will assure that appropriate transportation method and appropriate escort officers are provided for each visit.
You will be responsible for management and execution of Official Representation Funds (ORF) to include the requesting of funds and planning, execution, and payment of services for ORF events.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing and executing protocol functions by coordinating visits, ceremonies, and conferences that adhere to military, civilian, and foreign social customs and practices to ensure a meaningful experience for each visitor.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: implementing a protocol program to determine proper protocol in connection with visits, ceremonies, and conferences for the successful accomplishment and conclusion of events.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-11
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree
OR
Possession of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
