Duties

Assists the RHRA in performing all duties related to that of an HRM. Plans for immediate and long range staffing needs. Oversees staffing functions that include requesting certificates of eligible, scheduling and conducting interviews, BOP-HIRES issues, and preparing security clearance requests. Provides advisory services on compensation related issues, including premium pay entitlements.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following: Education:Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. Graduate education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are: Experience working with a Human Resource program for an organization with a variety of administrative and professional occupations. Experience providing guidance on human resource programs and issues to employees. As a human resource representative, experience reviewing employment applications, interviewing and processing applicants and/or new employees, assisting employees in resolving employment issues and coaching and/or instructing employees. OR Combination of Education & Experience Have a combination of education and experience. This experience must have equipped you with the qualifications to perform the major duties of this position as described above. If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience. To receive proper credit, you must show the actual time (such as the number of hours worked per week) spent in activities. **Your eligibility for consideration will be based on your responses to the questions in the application.**
