About the Position: Serves as Programs Sections team leader in the Supply Maintenance and Transformation Branch, Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) G-4, FORSCOM for all logistics matters within the headquarters and Command pertaining to Logistics/Maintenance Policy development, monitors execution of polices and readiness rates. Reports Directly to the Maintenance branch chief, FORSCOM G-4 Directorate. This position is a Term Not-To-Exceed 30 Sep 2025 Years position that can not be made permanent.
Duties
Prepare narrative analysis and presents staff briefings on status of logistical operations throughout the organization.
Develop and implement directives, policies, procedures, systems and programs affecting logistics operations.
Provide technical advice to all command echelons as required for all matters concerning maintenance activities.
Represent the Supply Maintenance and Transformation Branch and at staff conferences within the headquarters in coordinating maintenance matters with other organizational elements of the headquarters.
Proficient in operating within the Army Supply and Maintenance enterprise system of record, GCSS-Army.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
- Incumbent is required to perform occasional Temporary Duty (TDY) for the Command 25% or less of the time.
- Incumbent must possess a valid state driver's license.
- This is an obligated position. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights or entitlement based on active military service, recovery from a compensable injury, or return rights based on an overseas tour.
- This is a Term position scheduled to not to exceed 30 Sep 2025. Position cannot be made permanent.
- Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service which includes experience in managing logistics supply and maintenance programs such as the Command Maintenance Discipline Program (CMDP); develop, review, and implement logistical supply and maintenance program policies; serve as team lead for projects; and present and prepare briefing for senior and general officers.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
