You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) within the Information Technology/Security Directorate (N6) of CTR FOR AVIATION TECHNL TRNG.
Duties
You will review information systems security plans and procedures for adherence to policy.
You will use database administration and system interactions to provide systems administration to an organization.
You will resolve network management discrepancies related to project cybersecurity issues.
You will perform a structured analysis to define information technology specifications.
You will manage server operations to implement server performance, systems security, and application operations resource planning.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area (722) Information Systems Sec. Mgr. level II within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Oversees and conducts information systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews. 2. Develop workforce and position qualification standards according to policies and procedures. 3. Provide input in drafting cyber security documentation (e.g., systems security plans, risk assessments, disaster recovery plans, and user security guides). 4. Evaluating Cyber Security operations to ensure compliance with system security configuration guidelines. AND 5. Resolving Cyber Security issues by identifying alternative solutions to various problems.

This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area (722) Information Systems Security Manager level II within 12 months of appointment.
This designation requires the incumbent to:
1. Obtain the foundational qualification within nine months and the residential qualification within 12 months of appointment and maintain those credentials as described in DoDM 8140.03 for DCWF role of (722) Information Systems Security Manager at the proficiency level of intermediate. For more information, please review DoDM 8140.03 and supporting DON policies.
2. Participate in continuous professional development program as described in DoDM 8140.03. An annual 20-hour minimum of Cyber Workforce related continuous professional development must be documented and completed in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor. Continuous professional development begins in the fiscal year after the employee has obtained both foundational and residential qualification requirements.
Failure to meet a condition of employment may result in disciplinary and/or adverse action up to removal from federal service.
