About the Position: This position is located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
Duties
Plan, coordinate, research, facilitate and manage programs to meet the Formal Training needs and requirements for staff members.
Coordinate with multiple agencies and civilian medical educational institutions to secure/facilitate/arrange training opportunities for medical staff.
Assess training needs and research requirements and course offerings to ensure applicability and adequacy of training and to validate that medical resources are utilized most efficiently.
Market Formal Training opportunities and guide staff in request/application processes.
Maintain electronic databases to ensure staff training records are accurate and required training is up to date.
Participate in special projects and initiatives and perform special assignments.
Serve as project manager for various data base systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: In order to qualify, your resume must demonstrate that you possess at least one year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes recording training information in an automated database, assisting with the development of training materials to be used as a part of instruction, and using an automated system to retrieve statistical data on training completion rates. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, educational design.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
