The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the supervisor of USAFSAM/EDES, exercises strong leadership, management, teamwork, and followership.

Responsible for the vision & execution of faculty development functions ensuring faculty & instructor are educated, trained, evaluated & remain fully qualified to deliver high-quality education &training in alignment w/ industry best practices. Oversees execution of faculty appointment process & quarterly meetings in collab w/ committee members. Oversees & performs faculty evals to assess instructional quality & provides guidance in effectiveness of conducting instruction. Responsible for the execution of testing functions, ensuring test materials & testing bays remain secure, student & instructor tests are administered IAW standards, results are appropriately analyzed, & proper feedback is delivered to all parties. Oversees development & execution of program evaluation plan, collabs w/ stakeholders to meet mission needs, ensures all student & customer feedback programs are properly executed to receive actionable feedback to measure academic effectiveness.

BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Education Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. OR Experience Specialized Experience (for positions above GS-5): Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s). Supervising or administering a training program. Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Develops new methods, criteria, policies, or precedents for business management or a professional field. Modifies or adapts established methods and approaches to complex issues that affect a wide range of organizational activities. Communicates important concepts to influence decisions or recommend solutions with specialists and management officials in own organization. Works with customers to define/anticipate problems and develop strategies for effective resolution within a particular program area. Contributes as lead or key member of the team performing the substantive analytical or professional duties in support of the organizational mission.
