You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.
Duties
You will represent the command as the technical expert in shipboard configuration validation reviews and ensure proper configuration and logistics support is provided to the fleet.
You will provide complete shipboard configuration and logistics support to Fleet units undergoing repair and modernization availability to ensure correct equipment configuration.
You will manage, track, analyze, and report all ILS Deliverables for Repair and Modernization availability for respective Class Ships using NDE Baseline of Availability to prepare End of Availability (EOA) Report.
You will provide correct parts allowance, onboard requirements, parts demand data as well as all related parts issued onboard surface, submarines, and aircraft carriers.
You will participate in matters pertaining to configuration and logistics support at various meetings and conferences.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Logistics Management Specialist specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-09 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing logistics management work in support of ship modernization/repair. Examples of specialized experience include the following: 1) Manage, track, analyze, and report ILS Deliverables for Repair and Modernization Availabilities; 2) Assist in solving Ship Modernization and installation issues with process improvement; 3) Analyze and interpret complex Navy shipboard systems, Navy drawings, bid spec packages to determine requirements and provide logistic/configuration support; 4) Review parts and test equipment on Fleet units and shore stations for availability and applicability; and 5) Develop networks and build alliances; collaborates across boundaries to build strategic relationships and achieve common goals.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
