You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Nuclear Reactors and Supply Chain Management department of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. ***This Job Opportunity Announcement is using an additional online assessment tool to evaluate applicants. Duties

You will resolve all supply support issues related to the management of items unique to Nuclear Reactor Program. You will be the focal point of contact and coordinate, resolve any problems relating to their managed equipment. You will represent NAVSUP WSS at various meetings on matters which affect their equipment. You will monitor documents through review/approval cycle to ensure plan milestones are met.

Requirements

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

I have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private sector performing Logistics Management Specialist work utilizing a knowledge of supply support issues related to the management of highly critical items unique to Nuclear Reactor Program (NRP). Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing supply expertise to Hardware Systems Command, Shipyards, fleet customers, and numerous other government agencies which affect proper support of the NRP; 2) Analyzing requirements and making decisions to procure, repair, or direct assets to meet program/maintenance needs for assigned equipment systems; 3) Reviewing key system/program performance indicators from all available sources to uncover trends and potential problems and monitor and coordinate actions of responsible personnel on the solution of these problems; 4) Monitoring repair programs for assigned systems/equipment to promote fleet readiness and meet command/NRP goals in areas such as procurement lead times, unfilled customer orders, fill rate, customer wait time, etc. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
