You will serve as a Fire Chief of NAVCONSTRBATCTRGPT.
Duties
You will prepare strategic plans, facilities master plans, risk assessments, or standard of response coverage documents to ensure operational readiness.
You will inspect fire apparatus, equipment, and stations to maintain supervision of operations.
You will complete written reports and records on emergency services incidents, patients, drugs administered equipment, or supplies used.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Outside applicants claiming VEOA and VRA (i.e., those without current or prior Federal competitive or excepted service) must meet (specialized experience) requirements equivalent to the GS-10 grade level in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. I have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 level in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: Interpreting advanced fire protection and/or prevention theories, principles, methods, techniques. and practices to establish policies and procedures; Administering a comprehensive fire protection program to ensure goals are met; Interpreting the physical plant of the activity, including; the water, gas, and electrical distribution systems; and all building locations, construction types, and utilizations; Interpreting the design and operations of the various fire protection systems and devices of the activity; Covering fire protection and prevention techniques and procedures, center manuals. rules and regulations. agency and installation instructions, and local/state/federal fire prevention ordinances and codes; Using special safety equipment such as, self-contained breathing apparatus, encapsulated suits, and hazardous materials containment and control equipment; Interpreting technical fire prevention requirements and advanced inspection practices or conditions of high fire expectancy and severity; Training others in the firefighting specialty; Recognizing potential hazards in highly specialized and technical operations; Interpreting accepted fire prevention techniques to meet the needs and priorities of these programs; Directing all operations of a Fire Department; Preparing and/ or maintaining complete and accurate, records and reports. Required Certifications:
Firefighter I and II, HAZMAT Operations, HazMat IC, Fire Officer IV, Fire Inspector II, Fire Instructor II. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement.
