You will serve as a Transportation Assistant in the DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT OFFICE of MARINE CORPS BASE.
Duties
You will counsel military personnel, their dependents, and civilian employees of the military services, and arrange the movement of their personal property within and outside the Continental United States.
You will serve as a task Order Official (booking agent) for Global Household Goods Contract for members of all services residing in the Camp Lejeune area of responsibility.
You will at times provide service to military members along the east coast and Marines throughout the world.
You will be responsible for assigning all personal property applications to the transportation service provider (TSP) to include personal property moves, household goods (HHG), etc.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing transportation and counseling services to military and civilian personnel regarding entitlements for shipment and or storage of personal property.
