This position will be assigned to the JBSA Randolph Chaplain's Office.
This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 30 hours per week, may work up to 40 hrs./week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.
Duties
Provides technical support in the Chaplain Service Accounting Center (CSAC) and application support for CITRIX, Paycentrex and Sage Timberline software applicants. Provides application support, expertise and assistance to locations serviced by the CSAC. Provides system administrative support, serving as the Function System Administrator (FSA) for the CSAC. Performs accounting duties using double-entry accrual accounting methods. Classifies and verifies a wide variety of accounting documents in order to assure their correctness, completeness of information and to prepare control sheets with appropriate accounting codes. Maintains journals and subsidiary ledgers. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment. The incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA Certification within six months of assignment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience, which provides a board working knowledge of systems/applications management and support. Must have experience which provides a solid understanding of and the operation and functioning of personal computers, relational databases, networking principles, and system administration. Must have experience in work that provided comprehensive knowledge of fund accounting methods, procedures and techniques used in maintaining and analyzing all classes of accounts in accounting system encompassing a number of activities, ability to prepare financial settlements and reports. Self starter with experience in trouble-shooting computer related problems, to include connectivity/network issues. Experience in security administration in one or more security functional areas (i.e., personnel security which may include knowledge of procedures in initiating and reviewing background check/investigation results.)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
You qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of accounting systems and Citrix Presentation software.
2. Knowledge and understanding of regulations, guides and precedents sufficient to interpret and apply them in a variety of accounting situations.
3. Knowledge of Information Technology, enterprise architecture, information security, etc.
4. Critical Thinking skills: Ability to assess/diagnose/troubleshoot computer-related issues (connectivity/login, networking issues, software issues, etc.)
5. Ability to interpret policies and procedures, and apply them to daily activities.
6. Self Starter with excellent time management skills.
7. Skilled in written and verbal communication.
