About the Position: Branch Chief in Real Estate Division, Principal Advisor and Consultant to the Chief, Real Estate Division on all technical Real Estate Matters associated with Real Estate projects through the District.

Duties

Exercise administrative and technical supervision over Branch employees and contract employees, both directly and through team leaders. Plan work to be accomplished by the Branch; set and adjust short-term priorities; assign work based on priorities, difficulty and requirements of the assignment, and capabilities of individual employees. Interview candidate for positions in the Branch and recommend appointment, promotion, or reassignment to such positions. Resolve complaints from employees, referring more serious, unresolved complaints to Chief, Real Estate Division. Search for ways to eliminate or reduce bottlenecks, promote team building, and improve business practices. Serve as Point-of-Contact and authoritative source of information and advice to Chief, Real Estate Division and to the district staff elements regarding technical real estate issues involving the Branch. Plan, organize and monitor key features of ongoing projects to assure customer priorities are met. Monitor Branch budget and obtain clearances, authorizations, and funds when required.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
