About the Position: Responsible for managing the efficient and effective accomplishment of the planning and execution of major projects in support of the Louisville District. Serves as the primary point of contact for the District leasing and relocation program. This is a Temporary Promotion, Not-to-Exceed (NTE) 1 year and may be extended up to a maximum of 5 years and may be made permanent.
Duties
Serves as Real Estate Program Manager and technical lead for the District, responsible for all management, control, development, coordination, and execution of the leasing and relocation of District headquarters.
Reviews and monitors overall project execution and makes adjustments as necessary, based on circumstances and priorities. Implements corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy into the development of projects within the program.
Manages the District real estate leasing and relocation and performs work involving project milestones and budgets.
Provides assistance in the preparation of reports, memoranda, and other decision documents relative to the planning, development, and execution of projects and project activities.
Serves as an expert on real estate policy matters in conference with Corps higher authority, other agencies, and various state and local officials.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license to operate motor vehicles in accomplishing assigned duties.
- Duties require TDY travel up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience for GS-13: One year of specialized experience which includes management and disposal of real property; applying local policies, maintaining public relations, and agency policies; overseeing the review, interpreting, and providing guidance on real estate issues, policies, and changes impacting real estate management; and applying real estate principles and concepts and practices; planning and carrying out assignments, resolving conflicts that arise, coordinating work with others, and following governing laws, regulations, and internal procedures and actions to accomplish the work. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower or second grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
