You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONAL FORCES SUPPORT DIRECTORATE OF THE NAVAL MEDICAL LOGISTICS COMMAND of NAVMEDREADLOGCMD D FT DETRICK MD.
Duties
You will use database applications to track life cycle of Medical and Dental material and procurement requirements.
You will brief management or logistics teams of the planning, developmental, or implementation stages of major logistics programs to include but not limited to Shipboard Equipment Replacement Program (SERP).
You will identify resource requirements for a program's logistics strategy and total life-cycle aspects of logistics support programs.
You will initiate cost-effective alternative policies and programs that impact overall logistics management support goals.
You will be responsible for preparing procurement packages in accordance with all applicable instructions and analyze data used to identify resource requirements for logistics operations.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience in using job-relevant information systems and/or software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the Internet.
Experience conveying written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Experience selecting, acquiring, storing, or distributing an organization's resources in the most efficient way possible.
Experience in total life-cycle systems management of program support and sustainment activities to translate force provider-specified performance criteria and associated outcome metrics for medical system logistics.
Experience processing data and use it to determine an item/system's support needs and preferred support methods.

Education
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
