You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGMENT SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONAL FORCES SUPPORT of NAVMEDREADLOGCMD D FT DETRICK MD.

Duties

You will serve as the Procurement Management Supervisor, overseeing senior and junior General Schedule (GS) and military staff. You will be responsible for identifying methodologies to improve program quality, efficiency, and effectiveness to meet the expectations of internal and external customers. You will plan, prepare, and present status of Class VIII budgetary requirements for SCN, major ship modifications, RCOH, and SERP relating to Class VIII materiel to meet the Program Executive Officer’s (PEO) objectives. You will manage Class VIII (medical and dental) material procurement, major ship modification, Refueling and Complex Overhaul (RCOH), and Ship Equipment Replacement Program (SERP) programs

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience, planning, developing, and implementing and managing all class VIII equipment and non-equipment procurement programs Experience coordinating the preparation of implementing guidance and monitoring effectiveness of assigned procurement programs. Experience delivering and preparing briefings on status of operations to high level officials. Experience in validation and justification of life cycle replacement of afloat and shored medical/dental platforms. Experience identifying new business opportunities and developing processes to support key stakeholders.
