You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHEAST (FRCSE) COMMAND OPERATIONS DEPT INFORMATION SYSTEMS DIV NTWK MGMT BR of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

You will provide the resources and processes to support all enterprise infrastructure used within the command. You will provide support for developing, testing and evaluating new and emergent technologies for application to systems for the purposes of improving readiness and system affordability. You will plan, assign and evaluate work, prepare performance plans and other supervisory duties.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area DCWF role of 802-IT Project Manager level III within 12 months of appointment.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized Experience. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. Conducting research and investigations on best practices for software development. Developing and interpreting policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of IT/IM services. Providing training and expert technical guidance, and recommendations for software developers on all ranges of development tasks and issues. Evaluating operations, procedures, functions, and capabilities to present recommendations for situational circumstances regarding improvements, detailed explanations and alternative solutions to management and software development teams. My experience in the information technology field has equipped me with skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
