About the Position: Incumbent has responsibility for coordinating, planning, and carrying out the operations and maintenance of a large and complex facilities in the Range Complex. These facilities can be fitted with several different types of computer-controlled, radio-controlled, and manually operated training and target devices
Duties
Prepare schedules for completion of work in assigned activities including training support, material control, quality assurance, facility support, safety, security, environmental compliance, sustainment planning and technical management.
Ensure safe operation of facilities to safety and occupational health regulations, standards, and procedures.
Approve training facility requests to provide the required support.
Coordinate resources to ensure safe and efficient operation and utilization of facilities.
Develop and present briefings to visiting dignitaries to include General Officers, political figures, senior commanders and using units regarding facility usage.
Manage facility supplies and conduct inventories to prevent shortfall in services.
Develop and supervise construction projects supporting continued development of Range Complex
Plan and issue work to be accomplished, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work
Apply knowledge of policies, requirements, and administrative procedures related to the planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination of management resources to ensure efficient operation and utilization of facilities.
Perform duties based on technical knowledge of range operations, live fire training and safety, and facilities maintenance to meet mission requirements
Requirements

- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
- This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/ or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes demonstrated experience 1;) Coordinating the use of live fire training facilities to meet unit training needs while ensuring safe operation of facilities, 2;) Delivering presentations to senior leaders regarding capability and use of the facilities, and 3;) Conducting inventories of supplies used support operations to ensure mission requirements can be met. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Management, Business Administration, Operations, Etc.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
