Duties
Serves as a full Deputy to the Director, Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) for a large/mega large garrison by performing a variety of duties in the short and long range planning, coordination, pertaining to the Directorate.
Reviews program changes and discusses changes in goals and objectives with activity managers and supervisors, ensuring objectives and goals are attainable and economically feasible.
Represents the Director in all matters including the coordination of programs and activities within/outside the directorate; Keeps the Director informed of overall accomplishments, deficiencies, and status of on-going programs and special projects.
Provides technical guidance and administrative oversight through direct and indirect supervision of subordinate supervisors and employees. Exercises the full range of personnel management responsibilities.
Integrates plans into appropriated and non appropriated fund annual operating budgets; Responsible for assuming the duties of the director in his/her absence and may perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Managerial work experience and executive knowledge and ability of the caliber described above in the Responsibilities/Major Duties of the position.
Highly Preferred Candidates: Possess at least one year of experience in at least two functional areas of MWR.
(i.e. ACS, CRD, BOD, NAF Services, and/or CYS)
