Duties
As a Information Technology Specialist (Customer Support) you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Providing expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical information technology (IT) issues.
- Providing functional and/or technical support to customers to ensure validation of requirements and delivery of Information Technology capabilities.
- Conducting continuous performance measurements to ensure that Information Technology activities, processes, and/or hardware/software are achieving desired results.
- Expressing information (for example, ideas or facts to individuals or groups effectively, considering the audience and nature of the information
- Coordinating and performing technical assessment and evaluation of requirement and acquisition requests submitted by technical and program stakeholders to confirm conformance with approved plans, program objectives, and policies as well as efficient use of assets.

- The incumbent serves in the Information Technology PCD and will be required to obtain and maintain Level I acquisition workforce certification within two years of the appointment date
- The incumbent will be required to obtain and maintain appropriate Information Technology/Security Certification equivalent to Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GG/GS 13 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes:
