This position is located at Office of the Inspector General for Tax Admin, Office of Investigations- Deputy Inspector General for Investigations. As a Supervisory IT Specialist (Assistant Director), you will serve as an Assistant Director to the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of CCID, on sensitive personnel, investigative issues and critical investigative matters pertaining to computer related crimes.
Duties
As a Supervisory IT Specialist (Assistant Director), you will:- Develop overall strategies, objectives, and priorities for multiple assignments conducted by the branch.

- Provide briefings and status reports to TIGTA executives on the status and outcomes of initiatives and special projects.
- Set objectives in conformance with headquarters and divisional guidelines and ensures development of quality analytical review plans by continually monitoring and analyzing national and local events to identify information changes, opportunities, and problems that may influence assignments.
- Utilize knowledge of auditing and Information Technology (IT) principles, standards, and techniques to ensure work conforms to professional, legal, regulatory, and quality standards.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Designing and performing projects/studies that conform with professional, or regulatory or quality, standards or requirements; AND
Applying IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices to provide sound guidance, technical advice and recommendations to management on information technology or security policies and procedures;
OR
Experience working in a tax administration organization that has been applied in documenting results of audits or projects and in developing draft or final reports, memoranda or other written products.
In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.
Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.
