About the Position: Serves as Division Chief for the Program Management/Accreditation Division, QA Directorate, HQ United States Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) in Fort Eustis, VA. Fort Eustis is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Surrounding areas include Hampton, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach. The Hampton Roads/Tidewater area has all the conveniences of a big city with charm of small town and rural areas.
Duties
Develops goals, objectives and strategies to support TRADOC's role as proponent and executor of the Army QA Program.
Uses knowledge of the principles, techniques and practices of the Army's education and training system to support the TRADOCDCG/CG in accomplishing the Army's education and training mission.
Plans, coordinates, and supervises all activities involved in conducting assessment of the Army's education/training system processes.
Serves as an expert in Army education and training policy, procedures, and processes.
Exercises full range of personnel management responsibilities over subordinate positions. Supervises subordinates and provides guidance and direction in carrying out their assigned mission and functions.

- TDY up to 30% of the time may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Basic Requirement:
A bachelor's degree that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position.
OR
Combination of education and experience- Courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described in A above.
In addition to the basic requirement above, qualified applicants must possess the following specialized experience.
Specialized Experience:
One year or specialized experience which includes: 1. Evaluating training institutions to identify trends, efficiencies, or deficiencies for reporting and advising; 2. Reviewing policies, regulations, or instruction to assess for necessary program modifications to meet new guidance; and 3. Developing accreditation standards used to accredit training institutions and making recommendation to meet or maintain accreditation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
