This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Position located at US Army Cadet Command, Deputy Chief of Staff, G8, Budget Division, Fort Knox, KY
Duties
Perform analytical and administrative duties in the formulation and execution of a budget program
Maintain automated ledgers
Monitor expenditures for program account
Prepare and justify budget
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Temporary duty (TDY), approximately 5% of the time.
- FMC-02 required within 24 months of appointment.
- One year probationary period may be required.
- Employee is required to attend the Acculturation C3PO third week from Entrance on Duty at Fort Knox.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work of this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Work that involves verifying the accuracy of funding documents, updating records of status funds, comparing documents and requests for funds with account balances and also; experience with work that involves automated fund control and formal accounting procedures.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job you may qualify if you meet the following educational requirements;
2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree. if related to the position (
