Duties
Serves as senior Army Futures Command (AFC) Experimentation Plans Analyst, staff action officer, and AFC representative to Army and Joint Service Forums for matters pertaining to persistent experimentation planning and integration.
Responsible for the analysis of plans, policies, and programs to establish, influence, and support the AFC campaign of persistent experimentation as it pertains to integration into Army programs and ensuring future readiness.
Identifies and defines issues, leads, or conducts detailed analyses, independently develops alternatives, and reviews or provides recommendations and plans to accomplish AFC experimentation.
Prepares position papers, presents, and defends recommendations at highest levels within the Army; coordinates and negotiates proposed changes with counterparts and the Army Staff.
Provides information to Senior Army Futures Command leadership in preparation of their congressional testimony, meetings and briefings related to Army issues to include force planning and integration.
Requirements

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315
- Secret Clearance is required.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) analyzing Department of Defense (DoD) plans related to force planning and determining the impact of such plans on assigned programs; 2) providing recommendations and plans to accomplish agency goals; and 3) communicating (both written and oral) with senior level leaders and staff within an organization and with external customers to provide information and guidance.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
