You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the SECURITY DIVISION within the CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NSWC PHILA DIV. The salary range shown represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13, Step 10; currently $140,506.

Duties

You will serve as the Special Security Officer (SSO) to manage construction and day to day operations of all SCI Facilities and serve as the principal advisor to leadership on information, personnel, and physical security for assigned SCI programs. You will provide support for all security functions in accordance with the US Navy, DoD and other applicable government security directives associated with developing, maintaining and managing SCI security programs. You will develop and provide new employee security briefings, exit interviews and debriefings. You will investigate and report security violations, and incident reports. You will ensure organization and contractor personnel are adhering to established policy and practices and recommend appropriate action to correct deficiencies.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 grade level equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing technical expertise and management oversight of a Personnel, Information, or Physical security program within an organization.
