About the Position: US Army Special Operations Aviation Command, Technology Application Program Office, Command Group, located in Fort Eustis, VA.
Duties
Develops plans and objectives for assigned systems acquisition projects.
Ensures that the final acquisition strategy incorporates all product life cycle requirements.
Based on extensive organizational and acquisition knowledge of the programs/projects and systems acquisition process under the direction of the PM, the incumbent analyzes assigned portions of the program guidance received from higher headquarters.
Tasks, directs, and coordinates with other internal and external organizations and offices engaged in the development and implementation of plans and objectives to assure that actions are in keeping with the PMs management direction.
Serves as a systems acquisition manager, and advises higher level management on all matters relating to one or more specifically assigned systems.
Provides direction, assistance, and support for all operations and activities under the authority of the PM.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for Practitioner certification in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This position requires submission of the Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
- Business travel required up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade NH-02/GS-11 or equivalency which includes: 1) Interfacing with leadership and technical teams to develop and defend plans for assigned programs; 2) Coordinating acquisition support activities necessary to meet program objectives; and 3) Assisting with the development of programmatic documentation such as Acquisition Plans and Acquisition Strategies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 (GS-11).
