You will serve as an EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST Team Lead in the MAINTENANCE PLANNING DEPARTMENT of NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA in Portsmouth, VA

Duties

You will serve as a technical advisor and make a variety of technical equipment decisions that materially affect the readiness of the system/equipment. You will be responsible for providing support to the Navy's Planned Maintenance System (PMS) encompassing Damage Control, Energy Generating, and Transmission, Propulsion, Propulsion Support, Steam Piping, Feed and Condensate Systems. You will evaluate and revise the technical aspects of broad equipment maintenance and logistics support plans. You will compose technical evaluations and reports to In-Service Engineering Activity personnel to stress technical points and recommendations when conflicts arise regarding assigned equipment. • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing and coordinating technical and administrative requirements needed to ensure the readiness of shipboard equipment and systems.
