You will serve as a SUPERVISORY EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST (RIGGING) in the Rigging Nuclear Operations Branch (C740N), of the Rigging and Equipment Operations Division (C740), of the Deputy, Lifting and Handling Department (C701)of the Lifting and Handling Department (C700) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will identify manning priorities and distribute personnel assignments accordingly.
You will coordinate and provide authoritative responses to audits, surveillances, incident and deficiency reports, and other reviews.
You will develop short and long-term range plans to provide manning, facilities, material, and equipment to support scheduled and unscheduled urgent nuclear and refueling/de-fueling equipment work.
You will manage continual workforce training to ensure that qualified personnel are available to meet planned and unplanned work and to support shifting priorities.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience conducting site inspections for project, environmental, and safety compliance.
Experience conducting oversight and training for civilian personnel to include writing evaluations for personnel.
Experience performing administrative and technical project management for the organization.
Experience with handling assets associated with maintenance, repair, alteration, overhaul, and operations.
Experience as a communicator both oral and written.
Experience directing a department of civilian personnel, providing scheduling, counseling and mentoring.
