About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Program Analyst for the US Army Training Support Center at Fort Eustis, VA.
Duties
Serves as the divisions primary point of contact on program/budget matters.
Develops financial plans and requirements in support of the Combined Arms Center (CAC) and Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) requirements.
Reviews and interprets new and established directives, instructions, and regulations for potential impact on major program objectives, operating policies, work operations and progress.
Organizes program and budget input into prescribed format, coordinating with and providing assistance in interpretation and any other necessary explanations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position - must be able to obtain this certification within 24 months from hire date. (See "additional Information" section)

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) performing studies/analysis on resources, personnel and training support issues; 2) analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of current and projected operating programs; 3) preparing papers and reports relating to budgetary and special projects; AND 4) analyzing the federal budget process to include program objective memorandums.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
