MILITARY GRADES: E5 through E7
Compatible Military Assignments: Any
The policy to have a compatible MOS/AFSC has been suspended. When reinstated, you will have one year to meet the qualifications of this position or meet the requirements in the guidance set by NGB.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: For positions for which individual occupational requirements do not specify otherwise, general experience is 3 years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4, that demonstrates the ability to:
Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions;
Plan and organize work; and
Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work. Experience in substantive and relevant secretarial, clerical, or other responsible work may be qualifying as long as it provided evidence of the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) necessary to perform the duties of the position to be filled. Experience of a general clerical nature (typing, filing, routine procedural processing, maintaining records, or other nonspecialized tasks) is not creditable.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training involving the administering, delivering, maintaining, advising, and adapting basic concepts, principles, and theories of Human Resources (HR) to the unique organizational, management, and mission requirements. Knowledge of, and skill in applying, fundamental HR methods, laws, principles, policies, methods, and practices of the specialization(s); and standardized analytical, and evaluative methods and techniques sufficient to conduct fact finding and recommend solutions to moderately difficult but well precedented and/or recurring issues and problems. The incumbent of this position requires knowledge of military HR regulations, policies, and procedures sufficient to provide technical guidance and advice and to research, analyze, and resolve problems associated with the area of assignment. Specialized experience factors encompass human resources program's business competencies, familiarity with the subject matter or processes used in human resources programs associated with DoD, U.S. Army, or U.S. Air Force. At least 12 months experience equivalent to the next lower grade.
