Duties

You will attend technical reviews, perform assessments, and perform technical document reviews as the IT Customer Service Project Lead for Integrated Undersea Surveillance Systems (IUSS) Mobile Systems. You will upgrade or enhance the level of services provided, resolve deficiencies, and implement changes in response to changes in customer requirements throughout the life cycle of in-service systems. You will develop service level agreements (SLA) that define requirements and expectations for the delivery of customer support services. You will provide government oversight for shipboard installation planning and execution of complex communications and networks and supports.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 411 level Entry/Apprentice within 12 months of appointment
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As an IT customer service Project Lead heading project teams in planning and delivery of a full range of system and network and mission system services for Integrated Undersea Surveillance Systems (IUSS) Mobile Systems. Qualifying experience may include: Identifying resolutions of deficiencies throughout the life cycle of in-service systems; performing the project planning for the installation and implementation of new systems; develop performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of customer support. Your experience in the information technology field must reflect skills in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Research, evaluate, and provide feedback on problematic trends and patterns in customer support requirements. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services, IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Implement changes in response to changes in customer requirements. 3. Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency must include: Create a work environment to improve customer service and program performance. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency must include: Serve as senior customer technical analyst with responsibility for resolving the most complex customer problems.
