You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the DEPT OF NAVY NAWCAD of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Duties

You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. You will review and evaluate budget requests. You will develop, determine, and interpreter budgetary policies and practices. You will analyze, recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization’s programs and administrative operations.

• This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: specialized experience; Performing day to day operations of cost accounting functions to maintain integrity of data produced in the accounting system and to determine what operating policies and procedures should be established or revised; Analyzing accounting data to ensure accuracy of financial reports; measure current performance against past performance; and take corrective action to resolve adverse trends; Reconciling transactions, records and accounts; and conducting research to resolve discrepancies; and Making recommendations which effectively contribute to decision/policy making process, to improve existing accounting procedures/systems.
