You will serve as an IT SPECILIAST (SYSANALYSIS) of NAVSUP BUSINESS SYSTEMS CENTER.

Duties

You will plan and coordinate feasibility studies to determine practicality of requirements from an Information Technology (IT) standpoint. You will research applicable regulations, standards and policies governing a variety of topics such as policy, system performance, and processing conditions. You will identify, define, modify and interface with other systems or applications. You will provide customer support to explain how the system operates and or research unexpected results. You will develop or oversee the development of an overall test plan for an assigned area of responsibility and is responsible for the overall planning and coordination of the testing process. You will assure that string tests within functional units are completed; conducts overall system tests to ensure that functional unit interrelationships are functioning properly; and that any problem areas are corrected.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ability to perform the full range of duties in the ERP Finance Module, setting priorities and scheduling work as necessary to assure the effective and expeditious accomplishment of both priority and regular recurring work; 2)Excellent written and verbal skills are essential. Must possess the ability to speak intelligently to individuals and groups at all levels of the organization to facilitate open communications, support and cooperation; 3) Knowledge of the ERP Financial Module, and experience with the related tools and processes (NHDSM, ERB, TCCB, QC, Audit, YEC, Transports, Plant Creation, Excel); 4) Assisting with identification of the requirements in the process area; 5) Providing technical guidance and reviews are required, and provides analysis and technical recommendations to the Commands; 6) Collaboration within the SYSCOMS Business Offices and with other stakeholders to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions; 7) Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas; attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
