The selectee of this position serves as a Supervisory Budget Analyst responsible for managing the agency's budget programs, to include development and oversight of financial controls, budget formulation, presentation, and execution. This position is located in the Office of Budget, Financial Services Division / Arlington, Virginia.

Duties

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• This is a Testing Designated Positions (TDP) and is subject to random drug testing.
• May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period.
• May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probationary period.
• Must be a Current DOJ employee and meet time-in-grade requirements for consideration. (52 weeks at the next lower grade level)

Qualifications

TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit Promotion applicants must provide an SF50 Notice of Personnel Action that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF50 must include the position, title, series, grade, step, tenure, type of service (Competitive or Excepted) and career status (career or career-conditional). No award SF50 will be accepted as proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. One year at the GS-13 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 grade level. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the education and/or experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply. To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, you must meet the following: Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties: Consulting with budget liaisons, program analysts, or management officials to prepare, justify, and execute program budgets; Developing cost-benefit analyses to inform decision-making in the budget formulation and/or budget approval process; Using Microsoft Office or similar suite of applications to draft, edit, and publish a variety of written documents submitted in budget request packages; Providing technical advice or guidance to a variety of audiences at varying organizational levels on budgetary matters (e.g., management, peers, support staff); and Managing competing workload priorities for a team of budget analysts, support staff, and/or contractors.
