You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HEALTH SYSTEM SPECIALIST in the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Department, Officer Programs Directorate (OPD) of NAVMEDLEADPRODEVCMD BETHESDA.

Duties

You will develop standards by which the staff are evaluated. You will coordinate multiple aspects necessary for conduction the annual Graduate Medical Education Selection Board. You will impact readiness of Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines through advancing professional development of healthcare professionals. You will develop, design and revision of appropriate directives and instructions governing all Graduate Medical Education and medical student programs as required by legislation, administrative policy changes, and changes in program. You will oversee preparation and submission of tuition documents to ensure timely accurate payment of tuitions for enrolled trainees.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience managing office and human resources including staff development, evaluation and complaint resolution. Experience with Graduate Medical Education (GME) including a thorough knowledge of laws and regulations that govern Navy and Military Health System (MHS) GME as well as accrediting organization GME guidelines/requirements. Experience with Continuing Education (CE)/Continuing Medical Education (CME) policies, regulations, process and management. Experience performing independent project management including designing, planning, integrating, and implementing projects; Experience developing, interpreting, and resolving differences in policy. Experience coordinating and planning large, complex events. Experience utilizing job-relevant computer/information systems as well as significant experience with database development and maintenance. Experience performing oral and written communication skills.
