About the Position: This position is located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Directorate for Medicine, Department of Pediatrics in Bethesda, Maryland.

Duties
Conduct program analysis concerning all aspects of the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
Identify problems with healthcare system processes and recommend alternatives to improve processes.
Provides substantive management support in the areas of program cost analysis, annual and multi-year fiscal planning, and development of annual health promotion programs.
Manage, monitor, and ensure Joint Commission and other required inspection compliance.
Manage the preparation of the annual budget determining whether requests for funds and expenditures are proper, justified, and timely; consults the preparer on excessive, inadequate, or unjustified costs.
Monitor and coordinate personnel matters (e.g. recruitment and placement actions, removal and suspension actions, EEO complaints, denial of within grade actions, performance management, etc.).
Advise supervisor of ongoing allocations that require budget changed due to changes in program staffing, new facilities, locations, requirements to maintain accreditation, or other situations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in the Federal Service which includes identifying, analyzing, and documenting issues, patterns, and trends affecting the clinic; preparing healthcare data quality reports/documents using various software programs; distributing and/or monitoring a variety of administrative tasks; and aiding in the preparation of medical treatment facility budgets. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
