Duties
Serve as the DJMS/Military Pay System Manager.
Exercise independent judgment and applies exceptional executive managerial skills in Program Management to include development, acquisition, testing, production improvements, fielding, and program sustainment.
Provide managerial and technical authority over assigned critical, financial systems programs.
Develop detailed project plans, tasks, schedules, and identifies milestone dates to ensure proper sequencing of events, work efforts, and resources to successfully accomplish objectives.
Coordinate with senior agency leaders and civilian technical personnel within DoD to ensure architecture is compliant with regulatory policies, communication, software standards and with user requirements.

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-13) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as: managing or leading enterprise-wide information technology projects on, or in support of, automated financial systems to include project prioritization, evaluation, monitoring, risk management, budget planning, and resource allocation; providing leadership impacting information technology development, testing, production improvement, and program sustainment.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-13 or higher grade in Federal Service.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
