About the Position: This position is with Office of the Chief of Staff of the Army - Personnel Officer Division located in Arlington, VA.
Duties
Technical expert on Army officer exemplary conduct screening and promotion policy; providing guidance to subordinates and advisory opinions to Army Staff.
Responsible for execution of all Adverse Officer Review Boards (ORB), pre-board promotion screenings, post-board promotion screenings, and General Officer Review Boards (GORBs) for all Command Selection Lists (CSL).
Participates in Staff level conferences, working groups and meetings with various activities to coordinate and resolve policy matters pertinent to exemplary conduct certification for officer selection boards.
Prepares reports and maintains records of work accomplishment and administrative information, as required, and coordinates the preparation, presentation and communication of work-related information where appropriate.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You may be expected to travel up to 10% for this position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes evaluate the work performance of subordinates; assist with coordination of requests for information with agencies internal and/or external; and assist with managing military selection board procedures such as exemplary conduct screening team (ESCT).
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
