About the Position:
Serve as a Civilian Human Resources Specialist for the Assistant Secretary of the Army (ASA), Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA). The position is located at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.
Duties
Advise managers or employees regarding human resources regulations and policies.
Analyze data to identify workforce trends.
Administer personnel management programs in a manner that facilitates strategic planning.
Advise agency leaders regarding strategic human capital solutions.
Align recruitment decisions with the agency's strategic workforce plan.
Encourage organization elements to challenge unnecessary and burdensome requirements.
Keep abreast of current developments affecting civilian human resources policies, regulations and guidance.

Specialized Experience: Your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: researching and interpreting civilian personnel laws and regulations; promulgating agency policy based on new laws and regulations; reviewing current agency policy for edits and updates based on new laws and regulations; and conducting surveys/studies to impact or influence the development of agency wide Human Resources personnel policy. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
