Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Duties

Implements policies, conducts screenings, clinical counseling services, and care management services for Behavioral Health branch programs. Serves as the first point of contact for behavioral health services for active-duty Marines, retired military members, and the Reserve components of the military services, their families, and Department of Defense (DoD) civilians as space permits.Comprehensive counseling services include screening, clinical care management, individual, marital, group, and family modalities for problem areas amenable to brief solution-focused therapy. Reviews, develops, coordinates and provides case management services concerning Behavioral Health participants that are supportive in nature and address general conditions of living, life skills, improving relationships at home and at work, stress management, adjustment issues, marital problems, parenting, and grief and loss coping and other factors which detract from an individual¿s behavioral health. Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all Behavioral Health counseling services, to include conducting screenings, determination of client's level of functioning, prognosis, service recommendation or need for appropriate referral.Conducts psychosocial assessments with emphasis on problem identification and recommendation for services.  Makes recommendations for and takes action to effect removal when necessary for protection of family members.Applies established therapeutic techniques, principles, theories and methods, screens, evaluates and provides counseling for clients as indicated by interviews and assessment. Assessments include complete psychosocial evaluations and risk assessments for behavioral health related issues.Administers a multi-modality comprehensive program to deal with Behavioral Health related issues.  Provides evaluations for services, including progress, adequacy of services, and follow up.

Qualifications

A Master's or Doctoral-level degree from a college or university with a program nationally accredited in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling, psychology, or other appropriate human service and/or mental health professional degree.Tier I must have ability to obtain supervision that will be applied toward their licensure under an approved supervision plan as required by the state license and board from which they are seeking licensure & meet any applicable requirements related to credentialing &privileging in accordance with service FAP HQ policy. Hiring program does not guarantee program supervision hours will be applicable toward state licensure. Licensure/certification shall be completed within a 36-month period.Tier II must have engaged in 2 years (includes at least 2,000 hours, full-time, post-masters supervised clinical experience).Highest licensure by a State or National regulatory board that authorizes independent clinical practice that is current, valid, unrestricted &in good standing in at least one of the following: clinical social work, licensed marriage & family therapist, licensed professional counselor, or clinical psychologist that meet the DoD requirements. Must provide a photocopy of licensure with their application. Tier III must have engaged in at least two years post licensure, (includes at least 2,000 hours post licensure or 4,000 hours post graduate degree, full-time clinical experience in a clinical setting).
